Ghana ranked the most peaceful nation in West Africa

The Global Peace Index 2019 has ranked Ghana as the most peaceful nation in West Africa.* Ghana came *4th in Africa* after Mauritius, Botswana and Malawi.

On the global stage, Ghana placed 44th ahead of the UK (45th), the US (128th) and Nigeria (148th).

Iceland came tops as the most peaceful nation in the world.
