Ghana records 17 recoveries in Covid-19

Some 1.92 million people around the world have now been confirmed to have the new coronavirus, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. More than 119,500 have died, while nearly 450,000 recoveries globally.

At a Ministers news briefing in Accra Tuesday, April 14, Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Aboagye said current confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ghana is 566.

With 17 persons recording double negatives, which are considered as recoveries, he said all original 10 regions in Ghana have recorded coronavirus infections.

He said treatment centers are in all the regions and new isolation centers have been created to facilitate rapid testing capability.
