Central Region records first Coronavirus case

The Central Region has recorded its first case of the Coronavirus disease.

This brings to seven the total number of regions to have recorded the disease.

According to reports the patient is a 57-year old clergyman.

He is said to have traveled to the United Kingdom and returned to Ghana on March 17, 2020.

Ghana on Wednesday recorded 26 new cases, bringing the total number to 313.

The country has also recorded another death, bringing the total number of deaths to 6.

The Greater Accra Region has the highest number of cases, 274; followed by the Ashanti and Northern Regions with 25 and 10 cases respectively.

The Upper West Region, Eastern Region, Upper East Region and Central Region have a case each.
