Broader vision and appeals

  • Patrick Appiah Mensah emphasized that the true value of mining is not just measured in gold ounces, but in jobs created, businesses empowered, families supported and lives transformed.
  • He called on the Ghanaian government to extend greater support to indigenous mining firms, similar to the assistance often provided to foreign mining companies, arguing that such backing is crucial for long‑term national development.
  • He also appealed to chiefs, youth and community members to protect the mine, reject activities that undermine operations or destroy infrastructure, and cooperate with the company, stressing that the success of the mine is directly tied to the success of the development programme.
