President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says he prefers using the oil money to develop the human capital of the country than letting it go into the pockets of politicians and other individuals.

He said Ghana cannot develop if the human capital is not given the needed attention. President Akufo-Addo made the remarks when he addressed staff and students of Bolgatanga Senior High School, SHS), in the Upper East Region as part of his two-day working tour of the region.

According to him, his visit is in fulfillment of the promise he made to Ghanaians ahead of the 2016, general elections that he will not be an armchair President but will consistently get in touch with the grassroots to keep himself abreast of their challenges and address them.
