The Chairman of the Council of State and Paramount Chief of Asante Juaben, Nana Otuo Siriboe has donated essential medical supplies worth four thousand US dollars to the Juaben Government Hospital.

Items donated include a ventilator, 30 thermometer guns, hand sanitizers and boxes of face masks.

Making the presentation on behalf of the paramount chief, the Akyeamehene of Juaben , Nana Adjei Acheampong said, the council thought it prudent to donate the critical items to the hospital in the wake of the corona virus disease. He urged management to put the items particularly the ventilator to good use.

The Registrar at the Juaben Council, Kwaku Ankomah Asare appealed to the public particularly residents of Juaben to continue to observe all the Covid 19 safety protocols.

Receiving the items, the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr. Kofi Buah Bosque- Hamilton commended the Paramount chief and the entire Council for the kind donation which, he said, is very timely.

He said the items will go a long way to complement the safety measures the hospital has put in place to protect its staff and patients from being infected by the virus. He said since the outbreak of Covid-19, the hospital has recorded 14 suspected cases and after several tests at KCCR all cases came out negative, except for two patients awaiting their results.

Dr. Hamilton added that the donation will provide support to the hospital which is playing a significant role in the fight against the virus to deliver quality health care to its clients and also enhance the safety of the staff.
