Upper West Regional Head Pastor of the House of Faith Ministries Reverend Richard Nimo has urged Christians to know their capabilities and build on them.

He said many Ghanaians continue to be where they are for decades because they have failed to realize their capabilities and develop them for their own benefit and for the society.

Reverend Nimo stated this during a sermon on Sunday at Wa.

His sermon focused on Increasing One’s Capabilities to realize your dream.

The Head Pastor said people need to inspire to attain to higher heights but that does not necessarily mean comparing themselves with others.

He said in building their capabilities, they are likely to encounter challenges and failures. These however he noted should never serve as barriers for their successes.

He said the act of failure amounts to self-evaluation which should not be taken for granted.

Reverend Nimo added that when people fail to do self-evaluation they will to do things the same way that yields no results.

The Head Pastor of the House of Faith Ministries reminded Ghanaians that failure is bound to happen in one’s life and that when it occurs it should be seen as a challenge rather that a barrier.

“Late President John Atta Mills and current President Akufo Addo are clear examples of what perseverance can do. The two never relented in their quest to become President of Ghana until they succeeded”, the Head Pastor of the House of Faith Ministries stated.

He said one of the worse things in life is to live pretentious life. He said many people pretend their relationship with God when they know within themselves that they have not reconciled with God.

Christians he said must be bold to confess their sins and seek reconciliation with God for forgiveness.

The man of God also cautioned Ghanaians not to be perpetual dependent on others for survival. He said people must learn to be dependent so that they can carry out their own dreams.

”We need to always have a plan B or C so that we can fall on them when our first plans fail. In this way we will not be found wanting. We need to move with people who understand our plans instead of those who do not and even move in a different direction”, Reverend Nimo observed.

“We must be content with what we have. It is wrong for us to develop the habit of comparing ourselves with those God has blessed with riches because that could to amount to loss of faith in God”, Head Pastor of the House of Faith Ministries concluded.
