A Nigerian national has been arrested for attempting to fraudulently acquire a Ghanaian passport.
The suspect, Don Ofori Donny was picked up by security officials at the passport office in Accra on Monday.
He had in his possession a Ghanaian birth certificate, Ghana card and voter’s ID card.
In an interview with Accra-based Joy FM, the suspect said he wanted to belong.
“I am a Nigerian who has been based in Ghana for a long time…I have been part of the people and I made myself part of the people so I decided to do everything [the people do],” he said.
