‘Operation Calm Life’ criminals resurface – Minister

Northern Regional Security Committee will soon clamp down on criminals operating in the region.

In this regard, the security agencies will adopt strategies to ensure that crime is curbed to enable law abiding citizens to go about their daily activities without any hindrance.

At an emergency meeting Tuesday, the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saed described recent cases of armed robbery and car snatching in the region as worrying.

He said criminals who were clamped down during ‘Operation Calm Life’ have resurfaced and security personnel will leave no stone unturned to nib the menace in the bud.

Mr. Sa-ed said the region is safe for business and asked residents to report suspected criminals to the appropriate security agencies for the necessary action to be taken.
