Parts of some roads in Kumasi will be closed temporarily to the public on the 6th of March for the celebration of Ghana’s 63rd Independence.

The Police in a statement said the exercise will help the Service to maintain security and enforce order at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Independence Day.

Roads to be affected include the Afful Nkwanta Traffic Light to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the Asokwa Mall Traffic Light to the Stadium.

Others are roads from Unity Oil Station to T.I Ahmadiyya Senior High School and ” My Kitchen Restaurant” to Briginia.

The Police have also cautioned the public to stay away from other areas designated for dignitaries. The roads will, however, be reopened to traffic after the celebration.
