The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has presented the 2020 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament.
Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday, (November 13), the Finance Minister described the year 2019 as being “a good year for Ghana”.
According to him, this is evident in the growth of the economy.
“This is the year that one can confidently say that God’s blessing of the hard work is beginning to manifest putting us on a positive trajectory for a proper lift,” Mr Ofori-Atta said on Wednesday when he presented the 2020 Budget to Parliament.
Highlighting on some of the gains made, he said government has stabilized the macro-economic turbulence that was a regular feature in the management of the national economy and achieved structural changes for the economy.
He noted that the gains made so far are significant.
“We have delivered on our flagship programmes” Mr Ofori-Atta said.
