Ablekuma Central to gain Municipal status

Ablekuma Central is to gain a Municipal status next month.

The LI to this effect has been laid before Parliament and is expected to be passed when Parliament resumes later this month.

Ablekuma Central is the biggest Constituency in the country with a population of about 270,000. It is however faced with serious sanitation challenges aside from bad roads and poor educational facilities.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the MP for the constituency, Ebenezer Narh Nartey disclosed that sanitation issues are being tackled, and Zoomlion is also constructing a waste management plant in the Constituency.

Mr. Nartey also announced some development projects to be undertaken in the Constituency this year.
