The Member of Parliament for Damongo and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Samuel A. Jinapor, on 18th July 2021 commissioned an office complex to serve his Damongo Constituency with recitations of the Quran by Islamic Clerics from Laribanga.

In a post on facebook, the MP stated that “this office should be an avenue to enhance our contact with constituents regardless of their political affiliation and we will continue to work for a united Damongo which welcomes all and sundry”.

According to him, the office will also create the space for constituents to reach out to him, their elected representative, to enable him to fully appreciate their concerns, preoccupations and aspirations.

He believed an MP’s Office will help facilitate, “in many cases, a simple audience, without more, makes a lot of difference to the ordinary constituent.”

Also, until such time that we are able to build a befitting Community Centre, this the office will serve as a free Centre for all social events, added.

Earlier in the day, the Minister interacted with some of the constituents in their communities and called on the newly ordained Imam of the Laribanga.

“We worked very hard, with the support of many, in and out of our constituency, to build a modest office, made of fabricated 40foot containers”, Mr. Jinapor stated.

In another development related to Eid celebrations, he made whistle stops at Zongo communities within the constituency to make merry with his people.

He climaxed the occasion with a Sallah fraternization at the forecourt of the newly constructed MPs’ Office.
“Thereafter, he visited some elders of the constituency, to pay homage and respect to them.
Eid is an opportunity to commune and show love to one another, which we must not lose sight of. Barka da Sallah!”.
