The creation of the new regions has generated a lot of agitations prompting President Akufo-Addo to justify processes towards to the creation of the new regions which he says is in line with provisions of the constitution and best practices elsewhere.
Making his submission, a Lawyer and Lecturer at the Central University, Yaw Oppong said there is the need for the Electoral Commission (EC), to educate the public on the laws governing the creation of the regions for clear understanding before the referendum.
On security issues, Security Analyst, Emmanuel Sowatey asked that emotions be managed so they do not escalate looking at the attachment people have towards their place of abode especially the region they hail from.
