The NDC has accused government of misleading Ghanaians on the identity of the suspects in the abduction of the two Canadians.

Responding to claims by the Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah that the identity of the suspects are not known, the National Communication Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi showed videos and pictures of the suspects, claiming they are known Delta force members, a group affiliated to the NPP.

Alleged kidnappers (all sitting on the floor) and the SWAT team that busted them.

Mr Gyamfi charged the Director General of Police CID, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah and the Inspector General of Police to rather look for the real kidnappers and persons he described as criminals within the NPP instead of demonising the NDC Chairman Samuel Ofusu Ampofo.

It would be recalled that two Canadians, Bailey Jordan Chitty, 20 and Lauren Patricia Catherine Tilley, 19, were reportedly forced into a vehicle at about 8:20 pm on June 4 just when they had stepped out of their apartment at Silver Spring in Kumasi.

However, in a joint operation involving various security agencies including the Police and National Security, the duo was rescued at a house at Akyease in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti region.
