The Director of the Institute of Local Government Studies, Dr. Nicholas Awortwi has bemoaned the low response of the youth towards the December 17 referendum.

He said this state of affairs does not brighten the prospects of local governance whose foundation is boosted by the youthful population.

According to Dr. Awortwi, the observation is premised on a voters’ opinion Survey conducted by the Institute nationwide two weeks ago which showed that 75 percent of respondents intend to vote YES in the Referendum.
