National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flag Bearer Aspirant, Goosie Tanoh, has charged the media to be critical of politicians on their policies and programmes and challenge them to be accountable, to the people.
Speaking at a media soiree in Accra, Mr Tanoh, said the media have a pivotal role to play in the development of the country. As such, they must be fair, objective, balanced and critical.
The NDC Flag Bearer Aspirant acknowledged the frosty relationship between the media during the PNDC era which continued into the fourth republic and pleaded with the media to let the past go, open up to the NDC and together work for Ghana
Mr Goosie Tanoh said when he is given the nod to lead the NDC as its flag bearer, he will pursue the building of a robust economy which will enable him to implement what he called “four pillars of social safety nets”. These are affordable social housing, food security, universal healthcare and progressively free education
