Spokesperson for the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mrs. Joyce Bawa Mogtari says the choice of Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as Running Mate to John Dramani Mahama, strictly follows constitutional procedure as laid down by the Party.

She said wider consultation was done involving all levels of the Executives of the party and the unanimous decision was that Professor Naana Opoku Agyemang is qualified to take the position.

Speaking to Ibrahim Kwarteng on News and Current Affairs Programme “Behind the News” Mrs. Mogtari advised that people desist from thinking the Vice Presidential position of the NDC is normally given to persons from the Central Region.

She said the Professor was chosen based on her competence and qualification and not on tribal basis.
