CODEO deploys 25 trained observers for Akwatia by-election

The Coalition of Domestic Elections Observers (CODEO), a network of civil society groups, faith-based organizations, and professional bodies that observe Ghanaian elections to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections has deployed 25 trained observers to monitor the ongoing by-election in Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern region of Ghana.

CODEO in a statement issued today, September, 2, 2025 is calling on all stakeholders to ensure peace, fairness, and transparency throughout the process.

The group has also called on all political parties supporters to respect the rules of engagement.
