Member of  Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong,  Monday did not appear before court for the continuation of the contempt charge against him

Appearing before Presiding Judge, Justice Amos WuntahWuni, Lawyers for Mr. Agyapong explained that their client could not be in court due to post COVID 19 complications.

They proceeded to present medical evidence from his doctor to buttress his inability to show up in court.

The lawyers pleaded for an adjournment which the court granted, but the Judge ordered the medical doctor who issued the excuse duty to appear before it  on Thursday October 1 to explain into detail the medical excuse presented to the court.

He complained about the incessant medical complaints that the court receives saying they are no excuse for non appearance.

Alexander Afenyo Markin who is one of the lawyers for the Assin Central MP asked the media to do away with speculations and not make the issue political.
