The Kaneshie Magistrate Court has handed over former Tamale Central MP, Inusah Fuseini to the Criminal Investigations Department, CID of the Police Service to assist in investigations over his comment on national television.

The NDC MP after the December 7, polls is alleged to have suggested on Television that the 2020 NDC flagbearer John Mahama, run a parallel Government. The Police on several counts invited the private legal practitioner to assist them in investigations over his comment but he never honoured the invitation.

The situation forced the Police to obtain a criminal summons against the former MP. State Prosecutor, Inspector Richard Amoah argued in court that the criminal summons was necessitated by the accused person’s refusal to cooperate with the Police. However, Edudzi Tamakloe, lawyer for Mr Fuseini, justified the refusal by his client to appear before the CID.

He insisted that the Police did not state specific reasons upon which his client was invited.

Judge Ama Adomako-Kwakye after listening to the argument ruled that the accused person submit himself to the Police for further investigation.
