The Electoral Commission (EC) says it will go ahead with the conduct of the referendum for the creation of the six new regions in spite of a suit at the Supreme Court, challenging the exercise.
Addressing the media, Chairperson of the Commission, Jean Mensah admitted that the Commission has been served with a writ, but explained that the writ came without an application.
Mrs. Mensah said this suggests the suit cannot be held to be binding. She announced this during a news conference in Accra.
