The Electoral Commission will on Tuesday appear before the Special Budget Committee of Parliament to brief Members on the Commission’s preparedness for the conduct of the 2020 general election.
Minority MPs have been pushing for the Chairperson of the EC and the other officials to appear before the House for several weeks now.
The Majority Leader Friday indicated that the Commission has agreed to meet MPs on the 19th of this month.
Meanwhile business in the House for next week is expected to be minimal. This is to offer MPs from the Majority side, time and space to prepare ahead of their Party’s primaries on the 20th of this month.
