Former President, John Agyekum Kufuor has called on Parliament and relevant stakeholders, to revisit aspects of the Right to Information, RTI Bill, that borders on the security and stability of the country, before it is passed.

He said the real challenge with the Bill is not the inability of successive governments to pass it, but the security repercussions it may have on the country.

Mr Kuffour said although the Bill must be passed, it should not be at the cost of the country’s security.

The former President was speaking at the Annual Leadership Lectures organised by the University of Professional Studies, UPSA in Accra.

The topic was, “Leadership in Ghana: Meeting global Standards”.
