A Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Mrs. Nana Oye Lithur- on Friday, June 21, joined the Volta Regional Women’s Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and MTN Ghana to celebrate him at his residence in Accra.

They expressed their gratitude to Jerry John Rawlings- the Founder and Father of the NDC, for his selfless service to mother Ghana.

According to Mrs. Oye Lithur, Flt Lt (rtd), Jerry John Rawlings, is a true agent of change who revolutionized the political space in ensuring that the downtrodden also had a voice and seat at the table.

Flt Lt (rtd) Rawlings thanked the Volta Region Women Organisers and MTN for the birthday wishes.

Born June 22, 1947 in Accra JJ Rawlings who was twice the head of state of Ghana, started his political career May 15, 1979, through unsuccessful coup d’état he led which resulted in his arrest, imprisonment, and a death sentence.
