Government responds to Minority’s claims of cover-ups in Covid-19 case management

A Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, has taken a swipe at the Minority in parliament for imputing improper motive in the government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Reacting to the Minority’s news conference held Thursday, May 7, where they accused the government of cover-ups in the management of the Covid-19 case, Mr. Hadzide said President Akufo-Addo has been transparent with the nation and has not sidelined the scientific community as purported by the Minority.

He said Ghana’s testing regime has proven to be effective.  He reiterated that the numerous interventions put in place by the government has been of great sensitivity and responsibility.
