Government says its attention has been drawn to a publication in the Africa Watch Magazine which sought to link a scandal involving the purchase of some properties in the Norwegian capital Oslo, to the Presidency.

A statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, said the publication is an attack on the integrity of President Akufo-Addo and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway.

It said the allegations are libelous and scurrilous and contain nothing but manufactured lies. The statement noted that the Presidency is aware of the magazine’s agenda to defame the President through a deliberate publication of such false stories.

It warned that the publisher, editors and distributors of the publication will be dealt with at the appropriate time.
