MP for Offinso and Chairman of the Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee, Ben Abdallah Banda, has attributed his defeat in the just ended NPP primaries to constituent’s quest for change which is inevitable with time.

Mr. Banda said he lost not because of under performance but that his contender had a superior strategy.

“As for change, it comes no matter what. It doesn’t depend on your performance. So when the time is due for the change to come, the change will definitely come.”

Mr. Banda explained that most of the MPs who lost in the NPP primaries absented themselves in Parliament because they may still be in a state of retrospection and will bounce back soon adding that hard working MPs should be allowed to contest unopposed.

Some 40 MPs in total have lost their positions on the NPP’s ticket.
