Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast, Gabriel Palmer Buckle says history will vindicate Former President Jerry John Rawlings for what he stood for and his contribution to instituting the Fourth Republic.

He said the late President will be fondly remembered for not following in the footsteps of most African leaders who decide to hang onto power after the expiration of their stipulated tenure.

He charged Ghanaians to work hard to bring into reality, the late President’s principles of probity, accountability and transparency.

Archbishop Palmer Buckle stated this when he addressed the media after joining other religious leaders at the Accra International Conference Center to sign the Book of Condolence in memory of Former President Rawlings.
