Indulging in Vigilante Activities Attracts a Maximum of 25 Years Imprisonment – NCCE

The Greater Accra Regional Director for National Commission for Civic Education NCCE, Lucielle Hewlette Annan has cautioned the youth against vigilantism.

According to her indulging in any form of vigilantism activity attract a minimum of 10 years imprisonment and a maximum of 25 years imprisonment which may also restrict the individual from partaking in any political activity for 10 years.

Madam Lucielle Hewlette Annan made the submission while speaking on GBC News program “Focus” on the topic “Counting Ballots not Bullets: The role of NCCE.”

Madam Hewlette stated that the NCCE are engaging all political parties on the needs to maintain peace before, during and after the election.

She also advised that voters should know their polling station, make sure their voters identification card is intact, adhere to all COVID-19 protocols and dress appropriately to the polling stations.
