Mr. Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie has been elected the NDC’s Odododiodioo Constituency Parliamentary Candidate for the 2024 elections.
Out of the 2,161 valid votes cast, Alfred polled 1,209.
His contender, Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea, obtained 952. Eight ballots were rejected.
The Odododiodioo election was postponed indefinitely following a Court injunction obtained by Michael Nii Yarboi Annan, who had been disqualified from contesting the constituency election.
The election was reorganised after the interlocutory injunction application was dismissed by the Court.
Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie succeeds Nii Lantey Vanderpauye after a 12-year tenure in Parliament and departing voluntarily.
