Ghanaian Journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has commented on the speech delivered by the outgoing Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen to announce his flagbearership ambition.

According to the Senior Journalist, Mr. Kyerematen did not exude confidence during his delivery.

He is of the opinion that not enough effort was put into putting the entire program together.

“You are standing in front of a background which is made up of white, blue, red, gold, and green colours and you are wearing a multicoloured shirt. That is terrible in terms of Public Relations, and the image he presented is not a good one,” he expressed disappointment.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Metro TV, Mr. Pratt added that the improper combination of colours made Mr. Kyerematen “look tired and haggard”.

According to Mr. Pratt, the outgoing Minister of Trade and Industry should have assumed a more confident posture in the presentation of his speech.

“I think he could have done a better presentation. He could have displayed a lot more confidence. He presented as if someone who is not reading a script, but his flow suggested there is a script,” he said.

Mr. Kyerematen officially declared his intention to contest as a presidential candidate for the 2024 election on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party on January 10, 2022.

In his speech, he outlined a seven-point plan dubbed the Great Transformational Plan and appealed to Ghanaians to support his campaign message.
