The Independent Parliamentary candidate for LA Dadekotopon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region for the December 7, 2020 polls, Michel Bowman-Amuah is self-assured of winning the seat by getting over 70,000 of the votes.
In an interview with gbcghanaonline.com in Accra, Mr. Bowman-Amuah who branded himself as “a creative and pragmatic leader”, said, he has engaged the people of LA and has identified some of the challenges which he is solving head-on and “I am already generating funds to assist with the crucial needs of many in the community”.
He vowed to bring an end to what he termed “the 28 years of abandoned projects, political division, and stagnation in growth” as he promises not only to unite the people but to build his leadership on the tenets of pragmatism, principles of equality and wealth creation as well as his long-held principle of respect for all people.
According to him, he has started some developmental projects in the constituency which includes the installation of street lights for four sub-divisions, grading, re-surfacing, and asphalting of 600 meters of inner roads in LA.
Michel and his team in the months ahead before the elections have promised to roll out and complete the following projects: Construction of boreholes and deployment of a water purification, storage and distribution system and the installation of 610 meters of U-drains for the Kodjo Sardine neighborhood.
He said he will give the LA Dadekotopon Constituency a face-lift and improve and enhance the living conditions of the constituents if given the opportunity to lead them.
Asked why he was going independent, Michel stated in response that; “I’m going independent to send a clear message to my constituents and Ghanaians at large that the change we desire starts from us, we need not leave our destinies in the hands of political actors to continually take us for granted. It is high time we took our destiny into our own hands”

Mr. Michel Bowman-Amuah was born in Labone, suburb of LA. His educational background has much been revolving around Electronics Systems Engineer & Information Systems Architect with certificates from the UK in Information technology, Business Administration as well as Organization Management from the USA.
He is a seasoned visionary and entrepreneur in technological innovation with three decades of varied experience in technology growth, telecommunications, management consulting, and financial services.
Michel has developed, incubated and set up seven successful companies during his 30-plus-year career, raising capital for each company and ultimately bringing two of them to the NASDAQ Stock Exchange market. He also built highly lucrative and ground-breaking Technology Management Consultancy practices for Accenture, PLC.
Until consulting for such companies as Amazon, Microsoft, eBay, Dell, Telecom Malaysia, Comcast, NTT, SKTel, China-Unicom, Verizon, British Telecom, and Sprint among others, Michel was a technologist, device architect, and multi-national application developer for AT&T, MCI-WorldCom, Qwest, Sony, Disney and Time Warner.
Michel was also the lead consultant/fund manager for Andersen Technology Ventures, an early-stage investment fund and the originator of the IPSS (A Technology Incubation Program owned and run under the Communications & High Technology Business Unit of Accenture.
Michel Bowman-Amuah, an innovative and prolific inventor, currently holds more than 100 patents worldwide.
He is the co-founder of the standards organization that birthed Internet Protocol Data Records (IPDR) a standardized format for rendering billing information for Services and Applications delivered over Internet Protocol.
