The flag-bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to look into the processes to restore the licences of the collapsed banks when elected president in the upcoming election.

He explained that, after the process, the banks that need to be restored will be segregated and put into layers based on their size, as well as ensure the payment of different capital ratios.

Mr. Mahama was speaking in a live broadcast themed “Mahama Conversations”.

Former President Mahama said he is going to incentivize businesses through its 24-hour economy policy to produce more for export.

Mr. Mahama also pledged to collaborate with relevant authorities and partners to retrieve monies and properties acquired through corrupt means.

He bemoaned what he called the “raising corruption and total disregard for fiscal discipline by the Akufo-Addo-led administration” promising to do reverse the trend.
