General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia is urging supporters of the party to hold dearly the principles of the June 4, 1979 revolution which is associated with the late former President, Jerry John Rawlings.
He said staying true to those principles of probity and accountability and prioritising the national interest will be the best way to honour the memory of the former President.
Speaking at last night’s vigil in honour of the late former President, Mr Asiedu Nketia asked government to revert to making June 4 a public holiday in honour of the late President John Jerry Rawlings.
