The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kpandai Constituency, Matthew Nyindam has described the call by the Minority for the President to resign following recent militia documentary by Manasseh Azure as uncalled for.

Speaking on news and current affairs programme ‘Behind the News’ Mr. Nyindam said he will however not challenge the opinion of the Minority since it is their democratic right.

At a News Conference in Parliament yesterday (March 8), the Deputy Minority Leader, James Klutse Avedzi said following an exposé on the activity of a private security group at the Christianborg Castle, government cannot absolve itself of running an unauthorized parallel security organization.

Meanwhile, Deputy Information Minister Pius Hadzide, says there is no militia group operating in the country.

He says government has transferred all activities of the castle to the Ministry of Tourism, hence seized to be a military zone.

Mr. Hadzide said the men and women seen in the video are not members of such group.
