The Minority Members of Parliament on the ticket of the Opposition National Democratic Congress have left Parliament on Tuesday afternoon, February 6, 2019 to escort one of their own to CID Headquarters.

On this faithful day, over 90 MPs walked out from The Chamber in protest of the swearing in of the newly elected Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Eyram Alhassan, in solidarity of MP for Ningo/ Prampram, Sam Dzata George who was invited by The Police over interrogation.

Last week, The Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu on The Floor attempted to raise the alleged slapping of The Ningo MP but The Speaker could not allowed him to do so.

Meanwhile, a night before the walkout, the NDC through the social media has issued a released under the #OccupyingPoliceHQ tomorrow from 2pm and to be continued every Tuesday until perpetrators of AWW By-Election brutalities are arrested and prosecuted.

According to the Party, “it is being led by the minority in Parliament. Please use WhatsApp to spread it among your networks. We want this to be bigger than the #YellowVest protests in France. Hope to see u”.

Today we’ve seen MPs in ‘silent match’ using the road in front of The Ghana Institute Journalism which linked The Ring Road to The CID Headquarters.
