As the day for the Referendum draws near, many Ghanaians continue to express their thoughts on the exercise and its likely impact on the country’s democracy.
The Dufie of Abutia Kpota in the Volta Region, who is also a Development Consultant, Togbui Tsali said, he believes partisan election of Unit Committee and Assembly Members would degenerate into conflict because the contestants would see themselves as enemies.
Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Togbui Tsali commended President Akufo-Addo for his determination to implement a constitutional provision but cautioned that continuous monitoring and education should be done to minimise imminent conflict.
