Ranking Member on the Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee of Parliament, Inusah Fuseini, has called on the Leadership of Parliament to take a critical look at how Parliament is run.
He says the situation where MPs are subjected to elections where experience and good quality are relegated to the background does not augur well in effective legislation and governance.
As he puts it, Ghana’s Parliament is being run like “selling tomatoes in the market” which is a mockery of democracy.
He said nowhere in the world are MPs subjected to elections every four years.
