Political Historian, Nana Essilfie Conduah says the date for celebrating Founders Day must not be a point for division. Rather, the rational for remembering the country’s forebears must be the overriding principle.
Nana Essilfie Conduah said the over politicization of national issues has been a bane of the country’s development.
He said it is disheartening there seems to be a sense of apathy in showing gratitude to those who have toiled to bring the country to where it is.
The Political Historian spoke to Radio Ghana’s Augustus Acquaye as Founders Day is marked today.
Nana Essilfie Conduah bemoaned the number of holidays the country has.
He said the nation needs to urgently come to a consensus to bring the number down.
