Political parties urged to be serious with foot-soldiers

The Founder of NPP Loyal Ladies, Nana Appiah Ampofo, has asked political parties not to neglect their grassroots members whose hard work see them in government. 

He noted that the seemingly gap between party top hierarchy and foot soldiers must be a worry to all because foot soldiers are the future of political parties.

Mr. Ampofo made this observation at the regional conference of the NPP Loyal Ladies in Accra.

Established in 2016, the Loyal ladies is an all women group affiliated to the ruling New Patriotic Party, (NPP).

Mr. Ampofo emphasized the important contribution of women in nation building.

Speaking on the theme:, “Bridging the expectation gap between party top hierarchy and foot soldiers,  the key to victory 2020 and beyond”, Mr. Ampofo said party hierarchy should not underestimate the grassroots.

The President of the NPP Loyal Ladies,  Adjoa Pomaah  Sanwu, said, to encourage Patriotism among party foot soldiers it is crucial to pay attention to their issues.

She said negative stereotypes against women in politics must be challenged.

The  Ladies were advised to gather momentum and work hard as the party gears up for election 2020.
