A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Kojo Bonsu has paid glowing tribute to the former late President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
He said the values and principles espoused by the former President are ever more relevant today given the fast degradation of Ghanaian society in the area of morals and ethics.
He said no nation can truly develop without embedding in its citizens the progressive values of truth, integrity and service to humanity.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of the former head of state.

According to the former Mayor of Kumasi, Prof. Mills distinguished himself as a statesman who showed a genuine concern and respect for the welfare of the average Ghanaian and stood up for the protection of their human rights and equality at all times.
“The youth of Ghana have never needed inspirational leadership like they do now and we are blessed to have a home grown example of excellence in governance and integrity in the example of the life of Prof Mills” he added.
Mr Bonsu charged the youth of Ghana to take inspiration from the legacy of the president whilst appealing to them to take advantage of the 2024 general elections to vote in the favor of the NDC.
He expressed that he would avail himself for to service the nation in the highest office of the land if the opportunity presents itself.
“My track record during my tenure as the Mayor of Kumasi shows that I am capable of handling the affairs of the nation when given the opportunity however the sole decision lies in the hands of Ghanaians,” he added.
“I will be guided by the positive traits of former President Mills to ensure my tenure of office is characterized by memories of great leadership,” he hinted.
