Government is carrying out a value for money audit into the Saglemi affordable housing project.
Initial assessments showed that the contractor has misappropriated almost 160 million dollars out of the total contract sum of 200 million dollars.
Minister for Works and Housing, Samuel Atta Akyea said the former sector minister, Collins Dauda and a former Chief Director at the Ministry, Alhaji Ziblim Yakubu have at various times unilaterally reviewed the contract.
The Minister revealed this in Parliament Thursday in response to a question posed by MP for Nsawam-Adoagiri, Frank Annoh Dompreh on the status of the project and when Ghanaians can benefit from it.
