Security Analyst, Colonel Festus Aboagye says the State needs to do more to nib in the bud activities of the secessionists.

Colonel Aboagye emphasised that the secessionists have issues that cannot be swept under the carpet, explaining that besides the reinforcement of security, the socio-economic needs of the people must be a priority on the government’s bucket list.

He said the deplorable nature of the Eastern Corridor Road for example is robbing the people of their livelihoods, and that is a genuine concern.

Now, to the question of legitimacy of the Homeland Study Foundation, Colonel Aboagye is challenging the group to produce the said UN document that points to the fact that 50 years after their union with Ghana, they could decide to secede.

The Security Analyst said the government of Ghana has the obligation to put the matter in context by producing such a document to inform Ghanaians to determine the legitimacy or otherwise of the secessionists, as part of strategies to address the insurgency.

Meanwhile, Security Analyst, Colonel Festus Aboagye has been analysing activities of the Homeland Study Foundation and says the group seems to be penetrating by relying on counterintelligence.
