Shai-Osudoku MP outlines projects and activities she undertook within 2 yrs

The Member of Parliament for Shai-Osudoku in The Greater Accra Region, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo has taken good governance to the door steps of her people as she account to her constituents for two years of Parliamentary Stewardship.

In a speech, she explains that strengthening accountability and local participation has been a growing component of development in recent decades.

This is in line with the rising interest in improving governance – increasingly seen as the touchstone of successful development.

In addition, the MP believes that this would encourage broad-based participation: strengthening the political involvement of constituents in decision-making processes and in mechanisms for legitimacy and control.

The Member of Parliament, used the opportunity to outline projects and activities she has undertaken within the two (2) years as a member of parliament for the good people of Shai-Osudoku constituency.

As part of empowerment programme for the constituency, the member of parliament presented Twenty-Two (22) Tricycles, Motorbikes and Information Center equipments to all the Twenty-Two (22) electoral areas within the constituency.

The equipments is to enable the electoral areas becomes economically viable.

In the quest of improving good sanitation within the constituency, the member of parliament also commissioned a six (6) seater Water Closet (W/C) and three (3) bath facility for the people of Dodowa Odumasi and also cut sod for the construction of eight (8) seater for the people of Apperkon electoral area within the Shai-Osudoku constituency.

The MP expressed appreciation to the good people of Shai-Osudoku for the mandate given her to represent them and admonished them to continue to maintain the peace within the constituency because she believed that the constituency is very unique which crucial to advancement of the Greater Accra Region.

The Chiefs and the people also on their part expressed gratitude to the MP and encourage her to be focused in the face of challenges.
