The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, and Majority Leader, Osei-Kyei Mensah Bonsu have again clashed on another issue.

The Speaker had directed the Minister of Railway Development, John Peter Amewu, to be at his designated seat before moving a motion for the approval of his ministry’s budget.

The Majority Leader however felt the Speaker was not being consistent with his insistence on members speaking from their seats.

The Speaker did not agree with the accusation of inconsistency and it became banter between the two.

It got to a point the speaker had to direct the majority leader to sit down.

The Speaker then reminded the Majority Leader that he may be the leader of the House but not above the Speaker.

The Speaker said the way and manner the majority leader keeps challenging and disagreeing with him has left many people to doubt the genuineness of his friendship with him.

On a lighter note, the Speaker reminded the Majority Leader that as a Speaker, he is number three in the scheme of affairs of the country and questioned the ranking of the Majority Leader in that regard.
