The number of communities burnt in the ongoing conflict between Konkombas and Anufuls in the Chereponi district has risen to twenty (20).
Security has been beefed up to help displaced persons move to safety.
The Northern Regional police command said there is uneasy calm in the affected communities.
The Regional Public Relations Officer, DSP Yussif Tanko, told journalists in Tamale that, security personnel have intensified patrols in the area, adding that they are able to respond more to distress calls.
