Vice President Bawumia eulogises Tommy Amematekpor

The Vice of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has described the late Tommy Amematekpor as a courageous and selfless man from the Volta Region.

According to him, “without a shadow of doubt, Efo Tommy served the New Patriotic Party with courage, dedication and selflessness”.

The Vice President said this in his tributes at the funeral ground held at Agbozume, Sukladzi in the Volta Region today (February 22).

He said, his industrious service to Ghana cannot be underestimated stressing that, “he was a patriotic son to the party in particular and Ghana in general”.

Vice President Bawumiah noted that Efo Tommy was an emblem of unity not only in the Volta Region but also at the national level as far as the New Patriotic Party was concerned.

He asked the family, to hold on fast to the principles with which he lived for.

“His departure is painful, but we must take solace in the fact that Tommy Amematekpor is resting in the bosom of our maker”, he added.

In attendance were Ministers of State, Members of Parliament National Officials of the NPP including Volta Regional Minister and his Deputy, Dr. Letsa and Mr. Blagodzi, Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Kofi Dzamesi, Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanten, and Asamoah Boateng.

The rest are: Perry Okudzeto, Minister of Youth and Sports, Sadik Boniface Abubakari, Minister of State, Sammy Awuku, NPP National Organizer, John Boadu, National General Secretary and more.
