Volta NDC elects Henry Ametefee as Regional Chairman

The Volta National Democratic Congress, (NDC), has elected a former Deputy Regional Minister, Henry Ametefee as it Regional Chairman in a keenly contested election.

At the regional election held in the Volta regional capital, Ho, on June 16, 2019, to replace some of the regional executives following the creation of the Oti Region, the immediate past regional Vice Chairman polled 310 of the total vote cast.

A former Afadzato South Constituency Chairman, Frank Afriyie got 274 votes and another former Deputy Regional Minister, Francis Ganyaglo could only manage with 19 votes.

George Loh and George Dake were elected 1st and 2nd Vice Chair with 324 and 146 votes respectively.

Angelo Norkplim Agbodzie won the Regional Deputy Youth Organizer with 30 votes and Aku Sika Kpene now the Deputy Regional Women Organizer with 46 votes.
