The Techiman North District Police Commander, DSP Stephen Ofori Akrasi, has reminded the general public particularly religious bodies to strictly adhere to all the protective protocols against COVID-19 as laid down by the President.

According to him, all existing directives rolled out by the President have now become a law and warned that, anyone who goes contrary to them could face a maximum prison sentence of twelve years.

DSP Akrasi made this known to Radio Ghana during a stakeholders engagement in Tuobodom on the easing of restrictions on religious gatherings by the President.

Up to 100 worshipers can congregate in churches, mosques and other places of worship from June 5, President Akufo-Addo announced as part of easing Covid-19 restrictions.
